Sayulita, Nayarit is a rustic beach town in western Mexico. It is usually jammed with people, cars, vendor carts, bikes and animals. In this painting I try to capture it's beauty and warmth while creating a mythical quiet scene with only a sleepy dog to occupy the normally teeming street.
